Bizen-Yaki

It is kind of Japanese traditional pottery. It is famous in Bizen-Shi in Okayama-ken. The history of bizen-yaki started Johmon era. The features of Bizen-yaki are just fix dirt and burn it. There are no glosses and designs. Usually it looks blunt but it has much charms. Bizen-yaki is one of most famous pottery in Japan. The origin is some potters started to make potteries more practically and tough. And in Edo era, Bizen- yaki was most popular and had most demand in Japan. But now Bizenn- yaki is not as popular as use to be. So local schools have classes make Bizen-yaki. They try to make children more interested in Bizen-yaki.

Rugby

I searched about rugby union from many sports of New Zealand. Rugby is very famous in NZ.

The national team of NZ is called All Blacks. And they are ranked at top of the world. They won the world cup only once in first convention. But All Blacks is still the strongest in the world!!
And also All Blacks is popular for Hakka. It is like a traditional dance with traditional words. People did Hakka before they go to war or somewhere dangerous long time ago. All members of All Blacks do Hakka before they play rugby. Because rugby is quite dangerous to play, so they raise their feeling strong and extinguish their fear. There are many variation of Hakka. Usually they change Hakka once at a year. You can check out some of it from YouTube or etc.
In NZ, there is pro rugby league. It’s called Super 14. There are 5 teams in NZ, 4 in Australia and 5 in South Africa. They play games these 3 countries. 2 teams from NZ were top 4 teams in the last season.

In Japan, rugby is not so popular like NZ, and I think most of people don’t know how to play it. National team of Japan is not good in the world cup or any international match except against Asia countries. But Japan plays continuance in the world cup at several times because Asia is not good for Rugby. In it, Japan has never win yet. Last time, they draw by Canada, it is very historical thing!! Because they won the point!! When I was watching it, TV program shut before games finished, because of time up. After it Japan took the try in the loss time, they drew. I was bad luck, couldn’t see it!!!
There is rugby league like super 14 in Japan. It’s called top league. There are 14 teams. If you want to know about it click here and get information.

Festival

I searched about Kurama fire festival.
This festival is held in October 22 every year in Yuki shrine Kyoto. Kurama fire Festival started since 940 when Yuki shrine was moved to Kurama from Kyoto imperial place for guard there. This festival　is one of the strangest festivals in Kyoto. Other festivals are Yasurai Festival and Cow Festival. They are the 3 size strange festival in Kyoto. The festival starts at six in evening and at midnight it finish. During the festival, there are some traffic regulations. And there is no parking near from Yuki shrine, so need to go there by train. And it takes about an hour from Kyoto Sanjo station. And it often said festival in Kyoto is elegant and gorgeous, but Kurama festival is wild and dynamic. So it would give us different emotion.

Movies

I like to see movies especially war and action. Also I’d like to introduce you my favorite movies.


At first, it is war movie, named "300". This movie is kind of war movie. In this movie, there are many great graphics. The story of this movie is in the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. In this movie, many danger scenes and also many great fighting scenes.








Second, it is gun action movie, called “Smokin' Ace”.
The story of this movie is a man, Buddy ‘Aces’ Israel, who is the magician want to be a gang star. But it is not easy to be for him. So he chooses the way to go into jail. And the real boss of gangs Primo Sparazza does not like to him to informing FBI about gangs. Because Buddy knows a lot secrets about Sparazza and his family. So Sparazza takes the best way to deal assassins to him eliminated. The one million dollar stake on the Buddy’s life to each different assassin. Then fight is started between FBI and each assassin.
